A Special Dedication and Appreciation

As most of you know, I am now retired.  For the first 27 years of my career, I worked the rigorous schedule of being a high school instrumental music teacher as well as being a church choir director.  Those were hard years but good years; however, I couldn't help but notice how much my wife enjoyed teaching elementary instrumental music and I even enjoyed her concerts.  With reservations, I decided to give it a try and how fortunate I was to be placed at Olney, Greenwood, and Belmont Elementary Schools where I found a most cooperative environment to teach in - great faculties, parents, and students.

At the high school level, I taught electronic music and was thus comfortable with music technology and wanted to continue using technology at the elementary school level.  Supporting my desires, the Music Department at Sherwood High School provided me with a Korg M1 synthethiser.  By Halloween of my first year, I had my students playing my first composition for the elementary band and strings - Ghost Walk. Ghost Walk was followed by many more compositions.

As a gesture of appreciation, I have dedicated Ghost Walk to Belmont, Greenwood, and Olney Elementary Schools.  These schools are entitle to the use of  The Companion Music Folder along with the CD backgrounds.

Now that I am retired, I am publishing my music so that it can be shared with other young aspiring musicians.
